THINGS TO DO
Here at The Jetty Fishery we offer the best opportunities in the area when it comes to dock crabbing, boat crabbing, clamming, fishing, and wild-life watching. Not only is this the best place to do these activities, but we also have all the gear you need right here! Check out the crabbing and boating sections for our rates on gear rentals.
The variety of activities available on the North Oregon Coast is truly extensive. If bird and critter watching is your thing, you’ve come to the right place. From your cabin, room, tent or RV you can enjoy watching the resident Harbor Seals who hang out on the Nehalem Bay sand spit, only yards away. Or get out those binoculars and check out the bird activity that surrounds the Jetty Fishery, including, but not limited to sea birds such as Brown Pelicans, several varieties of Gull, Cormorants, and Bald Eagles.
The Nehalem Bay is also frequently visited by Orcas, Gray Whales, sea lions, river otters, deer—usually spotted swimming across the Bay toward the peninsula, and even Elk who sometimes migrate down the peninsula from Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain North of the Jetty Fishery.
Born to shop (or at least browse?) check out antique shops and galleries in neighboring Wheeler, Manzanita and Cannon Beach. Or catch one of the local farmers’ markets that abound in the area. If you’re here out of farmers market season you can now shop at our new permanent farmers market in Tillamook -— located at Second Street and Laurel Avenue.
